Once treasured
Now dismissed
One Held dear
One coldly dismissed
The nights
that were so full of light,
secrets,
laughter
Are now dark and still
The hushed whispers have gone
In their place
Gentle breathing of sleep
Once so full of memories
Now darkness has taken over
The tales,
The problems,
Are now confided
In another
The giggles
The out-right laughs
Are gone
Not to be shared
But to another
For she has appeared
And suddenly
She has stolen
My sister
She has taken my place
As my sister's confident
For my sister,
No longer does she confide in me
But you
